Housewives of Mannheim is a nostalgic comic-drama that takes place in the extended community of a Brooklyn tenement in 1944. Four women on the home front, living without their men, discover new dimensions of love, friendship and tolerance. They also discover that the freedom that comes with the end of the war and their returning men is a double-edged sword.
